Jamaica Dominates at 2025 World Travel Awards

Jamaica won big time at the World Travel Awards Caribbean & North America Gala on October 4th! We secured 45 major awards - that's 29 regional awards and 16 national prizes. Even sweeter? Jamaica was named the Caribbean's Leading Destination for the 19th year in a row! Plus, we snagged awards for Leading Cruise Destination, Leading Family Travel Destination, and so much more. Talk about putting the island on the map!
Jamaica Positioning Itself as Caribbean AI and Innovation Hub

During the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) ICT Week 2025 in late September/early October, Minister Audrey Marks announced that Jamaica is making bold moves to become a regional hub for AI, innovation, and digital services. We're moving from business process outsourcing (BPO) to AI-powered knowledge services, and the Jamaica Constabulary Force recently unveiled an AI law enforcement assistant. Jamaica isn't just consuming technology - we're creating it!
New Community Park Brings Green Space to Discovery Bay

Discovery Bay, St. Ann just got a beautiful new hangout spot! Prime Minister Andrew Holness officially opened the Queenhythe Pond Park on October 10th - a $3.98 million pocket park featuring walking trails, gazebos, benches, and solar lights. The PM called it unique and emphasized how important green spaces are for both physical and mental health. Now residents have a peaceful place to relax, recreate, and connect with neighbors. The community has already adopted the park and locals are loving it!
